New Chapters

When the cards align, and the universe has your back. Anything and everything is possible. I stay focused. Sometimes I want to skip ahead so I know what’s in the cards, but life doesn’t work that way. We have to live it to experience it. I am living in the here and now but know the future is bright. I turn a page every day, knowing putting one step in front of the other is leading to my hero’s journey and that it’s all unfolding most intricately. Glimpses of my future like rays of sun shining through. I know it’s going to be good. What I am hoping for and more. What does it feel like to have your dreams come true? Comforting, fun, special, and exciting. All the good good. I bathe in it and soak up the feelings.

What does it mean to have faith in the universe and a higher being, understanding that I am limited as a human being? Perfectly flawed. Fully capable and fully equipped. A creator taking ownership of my destiny and letting destiny unfold.

Is patience a virtue? Or a random nicety? I can’t seem to get that virtue down. Mastered in some ways and void in others. Can I press fast forward yet? Just trust. Just know. It’s all unfolding. Faith. Patience. And the morning brings another day. Another opportunity to advance towards my goals.

We are who we are because of our past. Ancestry that comes before me. Their lives came together to give me life. Moments in time pieced together. My existence is tied to my past. I ignore it. I don’t live in the past, but I can’t bury it away even if I tried. Color of my skin? My name? Generational traumas? Is each new generation here to solve previous life problems? Survival of the fittest? Tree of life. My feet squelch beneath me as I trudge through the trenches. I lift them. They move, they run, they tippy toe. They move towards the finish line of goals in this game of life.

So I turn the pages and continue to write and document the new chapters as they slowly unfold. Page turner. Anticipation. All the motions and emotions. As I close out the last chapter, I know that the new chapters are a page-turner. A new era. New dawn upon me.
